2017 FEBRUARY SUNSET!
Well, it seems to me that February 2017 will be one to remember!
In this winter season, robins have been sighted long before the official start of spring.
This week, in southern Ontario, the temperatures are soaring to levels that would usually occur in spring.
Even the squirrels are looking somewhat surprised by the melting snow and bare lawns.
2017 FEBRUARY SQUIRREL SURVEYING THE BACKYARD!
Yes, I do think that February 2017 will noted as an atypical winter month.
Sometimes, when asked to recall a certain year or even a decade, it might seem that it is all a Blur; however, there are some specific years or ages that stay quite clearly in my memory.
Seventeen was just such a year. This week, I was thrilled to be included in a series of posts on the theme “Me, at 17”.
If you wish, you can check it out at Haiku by Patricia McGoldrick (Me at 17 poetry and prose series)
Whether you are being mindful of the present, or thinking back to other years, have a great weekend, all! 🙂
Well, we have passed the shortest day of the year! That is always a hopeful sign to me.
As 2016 draws to a close, the landscape is covered with snow, with BBQ hibernating for the winter.
As I look back on this whirlwind year, it seems to me that hope is much needed for the year to come.
Perhaps, the seasonal lights that shine around the world for various celebrations are little beacons of hope.
May the coming year be good to us all.
Best to those who have stopped by to read this blog & comment a time or two.
Enjoy the holidays!
2016 WINTER WHITE!
Vibrant is the weekly photo challenge. Following the increasingly dark days of December, I look forward to the bright January sun.
Also, I am amazed by the wonders of winter in the occasional display of hoar frost. Last January, there was a beautiful moment when the landscape was covered in this coat of white.
